Adrian Josef Margelist was born in Brig, a small town in Switzerland’s Canton Valais, and studied fashion design at the renowned Istituto Marangoni in Milan. The twin poles of his strong home ties and the international nature of his professional career are something that marks NAVYBOOT’S 35-year-old Creative Director to this day.

«I’m the ultimate 21st-Century global nomad,» Margelist maintains. How come? First, because he has moved from one place to the next over the past 12 years, via Milan, London, Paris and Düsseldorf and back to Switzerland (Zurich); and secondly because he’s on the road for half of every year. Movement is vital to him: if he spends more than two weeks back in his home country, he starts to get restless again. Adrian J. Margelist thrives on visual impressions, and his travels – especially to Asia – are a source of constant inspiration and ideas.
